CrowdHealth is the delightful alternative to corporate sick care.

We’re building a community-powered system that helps people take control of their health, pay fairly, and thrive outside the medical industrial complex.

Our financial operations are the engine that makes this freedom possible — ensuring that our members, partners, and team can depend on systems that are transparent, accurate, and built on trust.

We’re now looking for a Controller to bring precision, clarity, and excellence to that mission.

The Role

As Controller, you’ll oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions at CrowdHealth.

You’ll manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, cash management, and compliance to ensure the company maintains accurate financial records and strong financial controls as we grow.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys building and maintaining efficient financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and keeping accounting operations running smoothly in a fast-growing company.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and revenue recognition.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Manage cash flow tracking and support budgeting and variance analysis.
  • Maintain and improve accounting systems, policies, and internal controls.
  • Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with GAAP
  • Coordinate with external partners including auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Assist with financial reporting needs across the organization as the company grows.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience (startup or high-growth preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Excited by structure and innovation — you like clean numbers but hate bureaucracy.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in healthcare, fintech, or subscription models.

  • Exposure to or interest in cost-sharing or alternative funding mechanisms.

Our Culture & Values

At CrowdHealth, we:

  • Value simplicity — clean books, clean data, clean decisions.

  • Build community — both inside our team and among our members.

  • Believe in affordability — financial stewardship that benefits people, not corporations.

  • Commit to quality — from reporting precision to ethical accountability.

  • Strive to delight — because numbers tell a story, and ours should inspire confidence and joy.

What We Offer

  • Annual salary of $120,000 + equity

  • Health support stipend that aligns with our mission

  • Remote flexibility

  • Opportunity to build financial systems that redefine how healthcare is paid for

  • A team that cares deeply about both excellence and humanity
  • 12 weeks paid maternity/paternity leave
  • No cap on paid time off
