CrowdHealth is the delightful alternative to corporate sick care.

We’re building a community-powered system that helps people take control of their health, pay fairly, and thrive outside the medical industrial complex.

Our financial operations are the engine that makes this freedom possible — ensuring that our members, partners, and team can depend on systems that are transparent, accurate, and built on trust.

We’re now looking for a Controller to bring precision, clarity, and excellence to that mission.

The Role

As Controller, you’ll own the financial heartbeat of CrowdHealth.

You’ll oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, cash flow management, and compliance — ensuring our finances are as healthy and transparent as the system we’re building.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role — ideal for someone who loves scaling systems, improving processes, and turning numbers into insight. You’ll work closely with our CEO and leadership team to guide financial strategy, manage accounting integrity, and help shape the future of healthcare funding.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all accounting operations including billing, AR/AP, GL, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Manage cash flow forecasting, budgets, and variance analyses.

  • Build and refine scalable accounting systems and internal controls.

  • Partner with other departments to ensure financial processes align with business goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage external partners: auditors, tax advisors, and banking relationships.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain clean, audit-ready books.

  • Support strategic decision-making with actionable financial insights.

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves:

  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience (startup or high-growth preferred).

  • CPA certification or equivalent experience.

  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Excited by structure and innovation — you like clean numbers but hate bureaucracy.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in healthcare, fintech, or subscription models.

  • Exposure to or interest in cost-sharing or alternative funding mechanisms.

  • Comfort working cross-functionally with product, operations, and engineering teams.

Our Culture & Values

At CrowdHealth, we:

  • Value simplicity — clean books, clean data, clean decisions.

  • Build community — both inside our team and among our members.

  • Believe in affordability — financial stewardship that benefits people, not corporations.

  • Commit to quality — from reporting precision to ethical accountability.

  • Strive to delight — because numbers tell a story, and ours should inspire confidence and joy.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary + equity

  • Health support that aligns with our mission

  • Remote flexibility

  • Opportunity to build financial systems that redefine how healthcare is paid for

  • A team that cares deeply about both excellence and humanity
